1 Timothy 3:5

“Having a form of godliness, but denying the  power of it”

Professed Christians who deliberately reject truth as to:

1. the Deity of Jesus Christ

2. Redemption through His atoning and redeeming sacrifice

This is NOT ignorance or heresy (due to the snare of Satan) both of which can exist along with true faith.

Apostates depart from the faith…. but not from the outward profession of Christianity.

believing themselves to be “true” Christians, they replace some of the truth of Scripture with fables.

Prayer for Today:

Loving Heavenly Father, Please give us WISDOM as we study Your Holy Bible… so that we be not deceived when others around us twist the meaning of the verses to satisfy their own devised doctrines… Amen
