Jesus Christ must be central to Christian witness and He is a living person who people can know intimately, if they take the time to cultivate a friendship with Him.
This sets true Christianity apart from other religions, cults and even many “Christian” denominations that have people busy following a prescribed path for “salvation”, but without a personal, intimate relationship with Jesus Christ.
Lack of dedication to God… leading to lack of time spent with Him… is the real problem.
Peoples hearts have to be open-minded and your approach has to be guided by the Holy Spirit in order to witness effectively.
Too many Christians (including myself) have been more inclined to argue over doctrine and in reality, nobody benefits from that…. it’s just a sheer waste of time.
Lately, I have been asking God to lead me to people that I can actually help and then give me the right words to say…. and He will do this if we allow Him to work through us and take ourselves out of the way.
Barbados NEEDS true Christian witnesses….. every day we “enjoy” our Christian life without sharing our faith, Jehovah Witnesses, Mormons and other cults are raking in “converts” into their ranks and making them harder to reach with the “true Gospel of God”.
So why are we not witnessing ? …. in Barbados, people do not even have to suffer for their faith ! ….. when we get to the “other side”, and everybody will eventually, how are we going to account for our lack of dedication towards helping others find real salvation through Jesus Christ….. which was His most important concern…. the Great Commission …. Matthew 28:18 – 20 (but in fact it’s repeated in all the Gospels as well as the book of Acts….. clearly it was IMPORTANT to God that we get this message)
