It would be wise to heed the message of God concerning the future.
Most people are not happy with the current ‘progress’ that has taken place in Barbados …. exorbitant prices, long lines of traffic, potholes, sewage, armed robberies and a host of other problems facing the country.
But only a few understand ‘why’ global conditions are getting worse….. and why human society will continue to decline.
Amid all the strident calls for tolerance, cooperation and harmony…. the unprecedented explosion of EVIL has gone largely unnoticed and unchallenged.
You cannot watch any entertainment these days without expletives, violence and sexual content….. even the children’s cartoons are full of rebellion and wickedness…… everybody has become desensitized to it and for sure it has affected peoples attitudes and interaction with others and very definitely their relationship to God.
Christ’s call to His disciples was for holiness in living and the meaning of this is to be ‘set apart’ …. ‘love not the world or the things in the world’ (1 John 2:15 – 17) ….. do you see evidence of churches following this exhortation ? …. and if the churches are loving the world and everything to do with the world, what about the rest of humanity …. ‘the bulk of good people’ according to one lady who remarked in amazement …. ‘you mean to tell me that all these “good” people are going to damnation and destruction ?’ …. she was even more shocked when I replied, ‘Yes, that’s exactly what I am telling you’…. but it’s not me, that what God has said….. she did not want anything to do with ‘a god’ that would send all these ‘nice people’ to some kind of ‘hell’ ….. and she simply refused to ‘believe’ that it was the TRUTH.
Maybe this is why Christ said in response to the question… ‘are there few that be saved ?’…… Jesus said ‘Strive to enter in at the narrow gate; for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able.’ (Luke 13:23 – 24)
But why would God destroy the bulk of His creation which He loves ?
May I remind you that it would not be the first time ? ….. only Noah and his family were saved from the first destruction….. and only those saints who have ‘washed themselves in the blood of the Lamb’ will escape the coming destruction.
Whether you like it or not….. the sanctification of the chosen seed is what is most important to the Father….. the rest may be ‘good people’ in the eyes of other humans…. but they have REJECTED the ‘salvation of God’ which He has freely made available to all…. and gone about to establish their own standard of righteousness. (Romans 10:3)
Don’t let that be you….. today is a good day to change your eternal destiny…. by confessing your sinfulness and inability to overcome sin, inviting Jesus Christ into your heart and life…. and then TRUSTING through His Holy Spirit that He will accomplish in you what is necessary as you CONTINUE to meditate on God’s Word, the Bible, and get to know Him more intimately through prayer.
